We focus on fine-tuning each aspect of our work to enable us to develop the whole prison culture that will make Lowdham Grange a great place to work and a better environment for our staff and those in our care. We engender a culture where staff feel empowered and able to contribute, where we will work together as a team and where staff are supported and able to apply their experience and judgement to make decisions - aware of the impact that their actions have on others and that they can truly make a difference.
One of the biggest aspects of life at Lowdham Grange which can sometimes be forgotten - the fact that prisoners are our customers. Our engagement with prisoners is at the heart of everything we do in order to fulfil our obligation to prepare offenders for effective release into the community, and to truly live by our values: Safe; Secure; Responsible; Decent and Efficient.
This 'can do - will do' approach helps equip our staff for the challenges they face, ensuring that we don't just deliver to the letter of the contract but provide a service in accordance with its true sentiment and aims, and together act sensitively and responsibly, treating all with understanding, decency and respect.
